Is there any point collecting WL after I've reached my current wing limit? Like I'm at 20 something wing buffs, so I have reached 10 wings, but I'd still fall short of the 11th even with the remaining WLs.

Tabletop Simulator is /vm/. That's why the thread has been able to persist for, god it's had to been years at this point, without having to have a discord to play games on demand. Roughly messed around with nades yesterday and you can do proper throws or underhands but you need to "hide" your offhand behind your back or something otherwise the game will use it as the assist vector.
Also I didn't know it was a thing but in Showdown you can start cooking a nade by hitting B on the right controller. It seems to be a universal 5 second timer on every nades before it plops.
There's a bug where if you pull the pin, drop and grap the nade with right hand and then throw it, the fuse will get reset to 5s on throw. Doesn't happen if you hold it proper and then hit B.
